"
Welfare is all about student rights, your right to be paid a fair wage, to be treated equally to your peers and to study in a safe and secure environment.
I have proven my skill, dedication and passion as both an activist and a volunteer whilst at Uni. I want to create achievable and lasting change for all students. I believe welfare isn’t about patronising or protecting, it’s about empowering. I believe in a welfare campaign where your voice is at the heart of every decision. Your involvement is key to our success.
Be a part of it,
Alex "

Top 3 Manifesto Pledges

1)
Student Safety - I want to create a comprehensive plan to make student life safer, including better lighting in high-rish areas, rolling out police drop-ins to halls and the Guils as well as creating a 'Safe-Ride-Home' scheme.

2) Student Workers-
I will conduct the Guild's first ever thorough piece of research into student workers within our community, enabling us to not only lobby and support you as a worker, but to name and shame employers who take you for granted.

3) Fair and balanced mitigation- I will work alongside students in creating an alternative, fairer, balanced mitigations process, that fully takes into account your individual needs, ensuring that every one of you receives equal and fair academic support when things go wrong.

"If you were a type of cheese, what cheese would you be any why?"
If I was a cheese I would be a lactose free cheese, so that all students could enjoy me. It's about diversity peeps!
